The scriptures declare that God has made all the nations, "of one blood (Acts 17:26)," that here, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28)." Every person of every race and gender is made one in Christ, by the purifying of hearts by faith.
There is a traditional style of iconography in which the image of Christ has different hues upon his skin. It is to represent that it is not so much that he specifically became Jewish or a man, but that he became human, he became one of us. The hues represent the skin tones of all people, for one of His early titles in the church, was "The Human One," for none were more fully alive in their humanity than He.
Beloved, let us ponder the great mystery of this, how we are all distinct in our personhood, and yet are one in Christ. How the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all distinct in their personhood and yet one in essence.
